I watched the Godzilla Minus One trailer on YouTube in Japanese and saw a lot of resemblance to the first movie that we watched for the Godzilla event. I appreciated how realistic it is compared to the previous movie and the appearance of Godzilla in the movie.

    I haven't seen any of the Godzilla films yet, but watching that trailer made me want to see the full thing. Apparently, the budget was under $15 million, which is really impressive when compared to Hollywood productions.

Blog assignment #9

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eBI7UgUeVig  for this assignment, I watched the movie Pulse (2001). It was created by Kiyoshi Kurosawa who also made the movie Cure. The story of the movie goes like this: after college student Taguchi commits suicide, a number of young adults living in Tokyo witness terrifying visions transferred across the Internet. As more people disappear throughout the city, the Internet becomes a breeding ground for malevolent spirits. Three seemingly disconnected stories follow Michi, Ryosuke, and Harue as they attempt to solve the mystery behind the ghostly visions that are seeping beyond their computer monitors. It was a bit confusing to watch but overall, I enjoyed watching that movie.
