This is another Japanese video-watching blog. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0178868/ For assignment #7, I watched Ringu (1998) with my friends. I was expecting a lot from the movie as I've heard that it is an iconic Japanese horror movie. Long story short, it was quite disappointing (Maybe because I knew what the ghost looked like). Spoiler alert: the content of the movie and its ending are described below. The fact that the male main character is an esper who can see the past of things he touches just ruined the story for me as it just seemed like a convenient tool to make the story flow. Despite the fact that the movie was made two decades ago, it seemed to have lacked the suspense of a Japanese horror that I expected. There weren't enough visuals, nor a sense of horror that I could feel from the movie in general. Also, the ending was the open ending which is not my type either. In general, it was nice watching the movie with my friends and enjoying the one jumpscare ...
いいですよ!I enjoyed hearing each person share their own interests- the flow of the conversation was very smooth!
ReplyDeleteYou guys did a good job of demonstrating introductions. Also, I don't know why but the camera angle made me think of JoJo, which I thought was funny.
ReplyDelete楽しかったダイアローグですね。トレホさん、どんなゲームが好きですか。ユさん、よくサッカーを見ていますか。しゅみを話すのがとてもよかったですね。
ReplyDeleteAmazing work, guys. You both have great pronunciation and your conversation flows really well. My group also filmed in the Japanese classroom lol.
